I am also having this same problem.  I am stuck in this loop and can not proceed with completing my taxes.  VERY FRUSTRATED!!!!

After hours on the phone with intuit assistance, we finally resolved the issue!  Go to your forms page, see if your investment page worksheets have a red exclamation point on them. If they do, go to the line by line investments and put an “x” on every “no” box to the left. This indicates that they are not digital investments. I had 5 worksheet pages with 100 lines per page. There is a scroll bar to make sure you put an “x” on every line!  There is a glitch and no way to do this any easier. It took forever, but after doing this there were no more errors. Hope this helps because I was as frustrated as you!  Good luck!

Please clarify as to whether you had  digital asset (cryptocurrency) activity in 2025. If you only had purchases and no sales then your answer would be 'No' to digital assets. This question is asked after your finish the income entry.

  1. Open your TurboTax Online return > Select Wages and Income
  2. Scroll to the bottom to select Continue
  3. Answer Yes or No when you reach the screen, depending on your situation Did you have crypto, NFTs, or other digital assets?

I answered this question in the Wages and Income section. During Federal Review, it still asked the question "Is this a Digital Asset Y/N". I answered No and clicked Continue. It then asked me the same question again. I answered No and clicked Continue again. It still keeps asking the question and I keep answering it. TurboTax won't let me file unless this question is answered but I keep answering it and it keeps asking. How do I get TurboTax to keep my answer so I can file my taxes?

Try clearing the cookies and cache.   It handles many issues that seem nonsensical on a regular basis with online activity. Watch to be sure you are selecting 'all time' as example.  Do not use selections like 'last hour' for those browsers that give  you options.

Once this is complete open your return and try again. Be sure to close your TurboTax return before you clear the debris behind the scenes.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, save your return, then at the top select Online, then Check for updates.

So the plot thickens....I figured out how to click NO on the Y/N box where there was no entry,  but after importing my 1099B from my broker there remained two checked Y and a comment below that they were Box J- "short term digital asset sale" and Box G- "longterm digital asset sale."  There is no name for the Digital Asset and that is what was flagged, However, there were NO digital asset sales in my portfolio.  Can anyone tell me the if "Y", along with letter code associated with digital asset sales, causes a description comment to automatically fill inTurboTax?  I can change all this manually, but trying to get my broker to verify they did not incorrect complete the form (resulting in difference forms being submitted by each of us) but to no success.  Need new broker after this.

I just ran into this! When it imports the 1099-B from your broker, apparently there is no info for the Digital Asset checkbox. So it wants you to edit that for every single entry, which is utterly absurd. I have multiple brokerage accounts and many thousands of entries across them and no way I was going to spend hours checking every freaking box.
Well, turns out if you go to "Forms" (Upper right) and NOT the Step-by-Step option.
Then in the list of forms on the left find the main Capital Asset Sales Worksheet for each account. Think it will be labeled "Cap Asset Sales (your broker name)"
And if you have a bagillion entries like I do, it will break it into a bunch of pages with 100 entries per page, but those pages are indented below the main form page.
Go to the first / main form page and locate the item "Non-digital asset transactions (Form 1099-B)" and CHECK THAT! It indicates that this is a regular 1099-B and NOT a 1099-DA which would be for digital assets.
Checking that box causes indicates they are all supposed to be no, and then it updates them an inherits from the main page.
So it is a single check box, which then applies to all the tens, hundreds, or thousands of entries.
Do not waste your time going through every single item on lord knows how many pages of 100 each.
This SHOULD be a simple question that TurboTax asks and sets properly. Terrible oversight.
