I am not quality for American Opportunity credit since I'm a graduate student 2018 but the page can't switch to lifetime learning credit. Please kindly advise, thank you.

It sounds like you may need to review the answers to the education questions, including whether you finished your first 4 years.

But, try these steps to switch the credit as you can manually adjust it -

  • Log into your account and click Take Me To My Return (you must click this or you will not get the correct link in your search)
  • In the search box, the magnifying glass in the upper right-hand corner - search for "letme" (one word) - and then click the "jump to letme" section
  • It will bring you to the screen "Education Credits and Deductions”
  • Follow the prompts and the next screen will let you switch the selection.
