If your dependent was a full-time college student, make sure you were careful on the MY INFO screen for “Uncommon situations” and that you indicated there that they were a student.

If your daughter is not your dependent, you are now allowed to enter her, on your tax return for the college student credit.

If the other parent is claiming her as a dependent, that parent gets to claim the tuition/education credit, even if you were the one that paid the tuition.
