Working from Home

The office gave all employees the opportunity to work from home because of Covid in Arizona. I chose to work from home. Can I deduct my expenses to set up office?   Would these be considered "home office expenses" or unreimbursed business expenses?

Sorry---W-2 employees cannot deduct expenses for working from home.  Job-related expenses were eliminated as a deduction for W-2 employees by the tax laws that changed for 2018 and beyond.  Your state tax laws might be different.

Thanks for clarifying.  Perhaps down the line ( a few years) these expenses for WFH will be allowed. Not being able to claim unreimbursed  work expenses has put a big ding on my taxes.
