Where do you apply the $6000 senior credit?

To confirm the deduction has been applied to your return before you file, follow these steps:

  1. Open your return and click on Tax Tools in the left-hand menu, then select Tools.
  2. In the "Tools Center" pop-up, select View Tax Summary.
  3. On the left-hand sidebar of the Tax Summary page, click Preview my 1040.
  4. Scroll down to Line 13b on your Form 1040. You should see the amount of your senior deduction listed there.
