I was an dependent in my parents return in 2019 (23yrs old) and for 2020 I am filing my own return, since I have income > $10K.

There is a question about whether I received Stimulus checks payments 1 and 2. What should I put there?

You should put there the amounts which your parents received for you. The IRS will match it with their database.

I m reading online that dependents over 16, don’t get stimulus check?

On the software it ask how much of stimulus check I got, if I entered $500 & $600, the software auto add $700 (remaining of $1200) as it assume I should have got $1200.

Correct, dependents 17 or over do not qualify for stimulus payments.   You should enter 0 for EIP #1 and #2 if you did not receive either payment.
