Quick question about Stimulus payments

I just wanted to confirm I told someone correctly yesterday regarding the 2020/2021 stimulus payments.

The situation is there's a family of four (US citizens with SSN) who are in financial need. All of them live together, range in age between 35-85, and cannot be considered a dependent of anyone else. None of them make any substantial income, so they haven't filed taxes in years, including 2019-present. That also means none of them received the 2020/2021 stimulus payments.

Am I correct in telling them it's not too late for them all to get 2020/2021 stimulus payments ($1200 + $600 + $1400), but to get them, they need to file 2020 and 2021 taxes?

I do hope that's correct, because it would really help them out. Thanks a lot for your insight!

You are correct.  They have to file a 2020 and 2021 tax return for the Recovery Rebate Credit if they never received a stimulus payment.
