Hi, somehow I ended up with a QBI on my tax return. I don't think it should be there, but I have no idea how it got there. Obviously, I entered something somewhere, but I need help to remove it.

    You may have the QBI deduction if you have Section 199A reported on a form 1099-DIV or a Schedule K-1 reporting business income.  You do not necessarily have to own a business to have the QBI deduction.

    Thank you. Turns out on two of my 1099-DIVs, I had 3 amounts in box 5. Those totaled my QBI amount.
