Non-cash contributions

The 2025 TurboTax removes the itemized deduction tool for non-cash contributions. So, when you enter the non-cash contribution and list the donations on the same day to the same charity, will you repeat the drop-down menu with "used clothing and household goods" multiple times or go to Forms --->Form 8283, then add a list to the "cost basis" area (it pops up a separate form with multiple lines). Which is a better solution for entering lots of non-cash contributions (but less than $5k)? Thank you!

You can list the value of donations in one line item if it was all donated in the same day to the same charitable organization.  In the description, detail everything that was donated.

Hi Thank you! But what if there are a lot of items, then the list will be super long! Two donations, every time with a lot of items. Any advice? Thank you very much!

You would use the item description "clothing and household goods" or something similar. You don't list things item by item.
