Line 6 is showing -660 and I cannot change it, does not let me transmit my returns without correcting the error.

Tried deleting for 2106 but does not work, at time of submit return, it brings to Line 6 of FOrm 2106 again with negative value

That is for reporting employee business expenses. That deduction was done away with several years ago for all but a select group of individuals on the federal income tax return. It references business related vehicle expenses, travel and meals. You may have made an entry in the Deductions and Credits section, then Employment Expenses, then Job-Related Expenses. I suggest you go back through that section and see if anything is entered there and if so delete the entry. You said you tried deleting the Form 2106, but I'm not sure if you did it by following these steps:

  1. Click on Tax Tools in the left menu bar
  2. Click on Tools
  3. Look under Other Helpful Links and choose Delete a form

Find the form or schedule you want to remove in the list and click on the delete icon to remove it.

Tax tools does not appear as an option in the menu on the desktop version. How do I get rid of this form on the desktop version? I cannot get past it to complete the tax return.

To delete a form using TurboTax Desktop, here are the steps.

  1. Open TurboTax.
  2. Continue.
  3. In the upper right select "Forms."

       4.  On the left under "Forms in My Return," scroll until you see Form 2106.

       5.  Select Form 2106. In the bottom left corner, select "Delete Form."

     6.  Return to Step by Step.
