Yes, you may be able to claim a federal tax credit for new energy-efficient windows, not a direct deduction. Under the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit, you can claim 30% of the cost of qualified windows, up to a maximum total of $600 per year. The windows must be installed in your primary residence and meet specific ENERGY STAR requirements.
