My credit score dropped TEN points yesterday. I paid my JC Penney credit card ONE day late. Is that normal?

Late payments, obviously, will hurt your credit score. Regardless, you might want to check your credit reports, which you can get free, at the site below.

You also might want to sign up for Turbo to get your credit score --> https://turbo.intuit.com/
In any event, a decrease of 10 points should not present a major issue.
