I have 10 accounts on my credit report, 5 of them are dead accounts with zero balance.  How can I get these removed?  2 of them are over 5 years old.

You can either wait for them to drop off, request that the creditors remove them, or file a dispute with the credit agencies if there are inaccuracies.

How long would it take for them to drop off? And does requesting credit unions to remove accounts drop your credit score?

They can remain on your credit report for ten years and whether removing them is beneficial is open to dispute.
