Yes, you can. However, you can only go back to 2013, the deadline to claim 2012 is gone. Because you may get a refund, the deadline to claim it is Tuesday 4/18/2017 for 2013. For 2014, 2015, and 2016 you still have time to do so. Now it is important to remember that the maximum deduction you may get is $2,500 and it is all dependent on how much you paid and your income. So my recommendation is to do 2013 amendment first and if you are going to get a refund mail by Tuesday then complete the others.
