Additional Information on 1098-T's.
I just updated TT within TT using the button under the Online tab and it updated and included the form 8863. I'm not sure why it didn't completely update when I used the update on opening.
TurboTax updates the program based on changes in the tax law that can and do occur after the tax filing season has begun. That may be why the form 8863 did not show originally in your return.
When you finalize your return and prepare it to be filed, you will be instructed that you cannot file yet if updates are pending based on the forms and schedules in your program.
