What do i put in for " was any scholarship income not designated to pay 2017 education expenses"

This question is asking if any of the received scholarships during 2017 was not used to pay 2017 education expenses.  

If you use any the 2017 scholarship to pay for 2017 education expenses, you would answer NO.

If you use any of the 2017 scholarships not to pay for any 2017 education expenses, you would answer YES.
