Made a payment plan to cover for tuition out of pocket. Can I add it to my taxes somehow? How do I know if its covered on the 1098-T?

The 1098-T is what your school will report.  The amount that you should report is what you actually paid in 2016.

These two amounts may not match up in any given year.   If you don't have good records of what you actually paid, contact the college bursar's office.

If all else fails, report what is on the 1098-T.
