tuition complexities

My husband attends an online paramedic program as his current job as a firefighter requires him to pursue becoming a paramedic.  The school doesn't have an EIN number and we pay tuition out of pocket.  The tuition is very expensive and I'm really hoping there is some way to recoup some of the costs paid!  Help!

Unfortunately, you may not qualify for an education credit. An education credit may only be claimed by students who attend a qualifying college or university. That school must participate in the student aid program through the US Department of Education. Then it would be considered a qualifying institution for claiming an education credit. In this case, you most likely would have received a Form 1098-T. Please view how to enter Form 1098-T if you have received one.
