If I can no longer be claimed as a dependent by someone else, can I claim the 1098-T credit when I file my tax return if my tuition was paid for by my parents?

I turned 24 prior to year end 2018.
I had enough income in 2018 to have to file a tax return.

Yes, you can claim your education credits using your 1098-T if you are no longer a dependent of your parents. This is even if your tuition was paid by your parents.

Your parents cannot claim any of your education credits.
