I received two 1098 with the same information

My loan was sold to another loan servicing company in December of 2016.  I received 2 different 1098 forms with the exact amount - one from each of the loan servicing companies.  Do I enter them both even though they look like duplicates?

No, if the lenders both reported the same information to you, only enter it once.

Only one of the lenders was responsible for sending you the information, but not reporting one will not impact you. Entering both however, would cause a problem.
