Do I input my son's scholarship, from Box 5 on the 1098-T, in the 1098-T input screen and then again on the screen asking "Did xx Receive a Scholarship or Grant in 20xx?"

The latter shows, in bold type, "Don't include amounts already listed on a W-2 or other tax form."

@lottavio1 who's tax return are your completing? yours or your son's? are you claiming your son?

what amount is in Box 1 and what amount is in Box 5?

On the screen that asks about scholarships and grants, the amount from box 5 of the 1098-T should already be listed on the first line. See the screen shot below. Do not enter it again.
