Can i wait to file my 1098t form?

I have not recieved my 1098t form. I have not paid out of pocket for anything. Im getting 14000 in grants and student loans and do i have to file my 1098t form if i didnt have to pay out of pocket? can i file now and wait for the form and just amend my returns to add the 1098t form?

Yes, you can file your tax return without the 1098-T information.  

However, it may not be in your best interests to do so.  Entering in the 1098-T data will enable you to find out if you for other education credits to which you are entitled.  If you qualify for these credits, it could positively impact your tax return and refund.  

The best course of action is to wait until all of your tax forms are ready and then file your tax return then.  You can get started with your TurboTax interview today and then choose to “Save and Sign Out”.  When your 1098-T is ready, you can sign back into your TurboTax account and finish and e-file your tax return.

I do not owe any taxes and im also getting a child tax credit so hould i just file anyways and wait to amend when i get the 1098t form?

You have the option to do that, but I would not recommend it.
