Can I deduct the cost of Medical School Step 1 and Step 2 exam fees? If so, can I also deduct the cost of travel related to taking them? Thank you.

Can I deduct Medical School Step 1 exam fees?

No.  Travel expenses and exam fees are not deductible expenses.  In order to claim an expense for education, they would need to be required by a course to complete the course.

Travel fees are never deductible for education purposes.
