Can I claim American opportunity credit for post-bachelor student?

My first college was in other country, I did not take the American opportunity credit for that 4 year study. Now I am working on my post-bachelor degree in US, this is the first bachelor degree I will get in US, and this is the first year I may claim for the  American opportunity credit. I am not sure if I am qualify for the American opportunity credit? Thank you!

Can I claim American opportunity credit for post-bachelor student?

No, in order to claim the AOTC you cannot be working on a graduate degree.  It would have to be a Bachelors degree or less.

You may be eligible for the Lifetime Learning Credit.
