529 maximum contribution and gift tax

I am paying my tuition with a 529 plan in Coloradio. Will I be charged a gift tax if I am paying it to my own tuition? I have currently contributed 15900 to my 529 and is there a maximum recommended amount to contribute to avoid gift tax if paying to my own tuition?
