NYPFL would be listed under Other deductible state or local tax in Box 14. If you itemize your deductions, PFL is deductible on Schedule A of your tax return.

I am not sure what to use in the drop down in the tax form.  On my w2 it does not give info for what one to use.

You would choose Other deductible state or local tax in the drop-down menu. I have attached a screenshot below of your entry for further guidance.

Hi so. I'm just curious. If I don't plan on itemizing... For NYPFL, should I still select the category of other deductible state or local tax?

Yes, please still select the category Other deductible state or local tax

Is it the same for NY-SDI NY-FLI?

Yes. NYSDI and NYFLI would fall under the category Other (deductible state or local tax) because it is deductible as a state and local tax if you itemize your deductions on Schedule A (Itemized Deductions).
