Where do I report out of state partnership income so it is excluded from the Michigan income tax return?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Is Michigan your home state? If so, it gets to tax all of your income. It doesn't matter where the income is earned or where it came from.
To avoid double-taxation, you can receive a credit for (some or all of) taxes paid to the other state. This credit is prominently located in the credit section of every state interview.
The income cannot be made to not appear on your resident state return.
