Do I need to delete my 1099 under misc and add it in as 1009 on schedule c?

Yes ... or link the 1099 to the Sch C ... either way will work.

what year? if 2020 there is a new form called 1099-NEC where you would enter the amount and it should carry to schedule c. box 7 on the 1099-misc has been eliminated.

don't know if TT updates include this form.
