How does refile actually work?

Failed to include some documents when I filed. The e-file went through and got accepted. I saw some comments that I should wait for the refund then mail the amended tax. Is that right? How does the refile actually work? How do I create the new forms? Can I use TurboTax to refile?

You will need to wait on your Refund to Amend. Once you receive your refund you would follow the instructions below. Once you follow those steps all you are going in to do is make the correction to your return. Everything will look the same as when you originally filed. The program will them generate new forms with the changes you made. Visit the section and make your corrections. Let us know if you have any more questions.
