The qualified business income deduction (QBI) is a deduction that most self-employed taxpayers and business owners get. It allows you to exclude up to 20% of their qualified business income from federal income tax whether they itemize or not.
If you reported self-employment income, and TurboTax determined that you were eligible for QBI based on the information you entered, then it'd have calculated the deduction for you. This is true even if you selected the Standard Deduction.
