Form RI Sch M. Turbo says I need to modify my AGI. Why? I don't own a business or have any of the other options.

A Rhode Island Schedule M is the name of that state's tax form. It does not indicate that you own a business.

Rhode Island will modify your income from the federal return before computing the state tax. . TurboTax will help you do that.
