Form 8283 is used to claim a charitable deduction for property the claimed value which exceeds $5000.

You will need to enter information  from 8283 into Turbo Tax about the donated item.  You can e-file your tax return.  You will be instructed to print and mail a transmittal form, and the original 8283 (signed) to the IRS.  Generally the 8283 must be signed by an appraiser and the charity.  You should keep a copy for your records.
