I want to file my 1096 form electronically but the program doesnt give me that option how can i do that

I'm not sure on this, but doesn't the 1096 have to be filed through the IRS FIRE system? I know the forms identified in box 6 of the 1096 do.

If you are using the built in W2/1099 Reporter in Windows Home & Business program instead of the QEF you can not efile them. You have to print and mail them.
