Hi,
I have two questions.
1. I own two LLCs. I have purchased Turbotax Business and installed it. Can I use it to e-file Federal Taxes for the two LLCs?
2. TT shows that I need to file Michigan Business Returns, when I hit "start". It shows TT needs to save before continuing, I hit "OK" & "Continue". Then TT asks me to select my state returns. But, there is no "Michigan Partnership" that I can choose!!
Please help~~

Besides,
LLCs are pass-through entities, thus, the LLC itself doesn't pay federal or state income taxes, only the owners do. Why TT says I need to file a state return this year? Please help ~
Very appreciated.
TurboTax Business supports Michigan Corporation and Fiduciary tax filings.
You can prepare and efile your Federal Form 1065. If your partnership does business in Detroit, you may have a filing requirement for Form 5458 City of Detroit Income Tax Partnership Return. TurboTax Business does not support this return.
Thanks
That really help~
So if my business is not in Detroit, I don't need to file state return, right?
And about my question1
I own two LLCs. I have purchased Turbotax Business and installed it. Can I use it to e-file Federal Taxes for the two LLCs?
Thanks
Yes, you can efile 5 unique Federal businesses.
Additional Federal businesses can be prepared and will need to be printed and mailed to be filed.
"TT shows that I need to file Michigan Business Returns, when I hit "start". It shows TT needs to save before continuing, I hit "OK" & "Continue". Then TT asks me to select my state returns. But, there is no "Michigan Partnership" that I can choose!!"
I have this problem too. I have used TT for like 8 years for my LLC partnership and this is new- usually TT just says something like "you may need to file " in michigan. I can only guess that this is happening because of the new pass through entity tax law passed in late 2021- but from my research this is optional for eligible entities to be taxed in this way, but TT is saying it is required. And it is confusing for users of TT business.
Please fix this TT.
Yes, it does support a Michigan Business State Return for Fiduciary and for C Corps. If you are an LLC or an LLC partnership, you do not file a Michigan business State Return. For an LLC the tax to Michigan is reported through your personal MI-1040. The same is true for the LLC partnership. When you enter the Schedule K-1 from your partnership into your personal return, then the Michigan tax is paid through your personal MI-1040.
