Do I have to file a Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR) if I am an author?

The filing deadline is Jan 1 with a $500/day penalty for not filing, but I don't know if I am required to file!

If you are a self-employed individual and a sole proprietor for the business reporting you income and expenses on a Schedule C, then you are not required to file a BOI.

I have an LLC in Colorado and had seen that this year we are to file a Beneficial Ownership Information Report. Do you all know if that is something in other states?
