Buying a House & Writing it off as an office

Can you buy a house and register it as your office / business headquarters and write it off in addition to all the expenses incurred with repairs, etc?
If so, does that mean you can't write off any other business expenses (such as materials, transportation, etc)

Buying a House & Writing it off as an office

If the entire house is used for business regularly and exclusively for business yes.  Some businesses have purchased old houses and renovated them for business use but do not live in them.  Perhaps the old house is zoned commercial or is near their target market.  Using the house exclusively means you do not live in it.  All legitimate expenses can be deducted as business expense even though you have a house you are using for business.
