I have $4.65 of income reported on a 1099-MISC as "Other Income" from an investment.  TurboTax automatically checks the box that this was a business operated by the Taxpayer at the top of Schedule C and will not allow me to uncheck it.    Further, TurboTax is asking me to submit income from the relevant W2 but a) there isn't a W2, and b) it won't let me change the value.

You shouldn't report the "other income" on a Schedule C.  You should report the amount on your tax return as "Other Income".  To do so in TurboTax Online:

    • Click on Search and type in "Form 1099-MISC"
    • Click on "Jump to form 1099-misc"
    • Answer Yes to "Did you get a 1099-MISC?"
    • Give a description - For example "Other Investment Income"
    • Indicate "None of  these apply" on the "Do one of these uncommon situations apply?"
    • Indicate "No, it didn't involve work like [your] main job
    • Mark "[You] got it in 2025" only
    • Mark "No, it didn't involve an intent to earn money"

Thank you.  That was spot on.  I don't know why I didn't think of that to begin with.
