Partnership LLC question

My partner left one month after we filed a partnership LLC so now I am a sole llc. She did not make any money or contribute any money. Do I need to file a 1065?  Also, is there a form that needs to be set to the IRS to change from a partnership LLC to a sole owner LLC?

File a final 1065 so you don't have issues. No other form has to be sent to the irs.

If you originally set up with the IRS to be taxed as a partnership (Form 1065) you will need to file the Form 1065 and mark it as a Initial return and a Final Return to avoid penalties for late filing.  This will close out the Federal ID number you have with the IRS.

If you want to continue to operate as a Single Member LLC you will need to get  a new Federal ID number with the IRS.
