Inventory "Not Started"

This is my first year filing our taxes as self-employed. We operate an e-commerce store so keep an inventory. I have inputted all of our expenses, cost of goods, value of inventory, etc. Once I'm done and have saved everything Turbo Tax still says that the inventory section is "Not Started." I've gone through half a dozen times to make sure the section is completed.

In the inventory section, you should indicate that your opening inventory is 0 (as you started only in 2021) and that your closing inventory is the value at cost of the goods remaining in inventory as of 12/31/2021.

The closing inventory is obtained by counting your inventory at year end and valuing at cost prices (not at sale prices).

It gave me the option to say that I started in 2021, so there is no value for beginning of year.

Do not forget to enter the cost of your inventory purchases for the 2021 tax year.
