how do i edit business code

  • Wages & Income / Business Section: Sign in to your return and go to the Wages & Income section (or the Business tab if using Home & Business / Business desktop).
  • Self-Employment Profile: Locate Self-employment income and expenses and select Add/Edit.
  • Business Info: Look for your business name and select Edit next to it.
  • Business Summary: Find the Business summary screen and click Edit next to your specific business info.
  • Tax Details: Scroll to the Tax Details section and select Edit next to the Business Code.
  • Update Code: Type a description of your work on the Let's look up your business code screen to select the correct matching code.
