Accepted means the IRS has received your return. There seems to be a delay in updating the IRS system this year. The following TurboTax FAQ's explain what accepted means. The state will not process until the IRS accepts your return.

I haven’t received my tax return yet, I submitted them in JANUARY 2024. Plus the IRS website says my tax returns is still being processed should I be concerned.
