Regarding a corrected w-2

Employer needs to file corrected w-2s for box 12 code D  Since this  is information only, does a taxpayer who has already filed his return need to now file an amended return and if so why since this does not change the return in anyway.

Regarding a corrected w-2

You don't absolutely have to correct your return if your Box 1 wages are still the same, but the amount with Code D could make you eligible for a Retirement Savings Credit.

When you get the corrected W2, just go back into Turbo Tax and add the Code D. If nothing changes, don't worry about doing anything.
