It would be best to
change it, because the IRS updates addresses based on tax returns that are
submitted, and they will change your address to the one on the return. If this is not the address they can send
communication or payments to, you should change it to reflect that address.
To change it
- Go to My
TurboTax and sign in (or, if you're already
signed in to your online tax return, that's fine too).
- Click My Account at the top of the screen, and select Account Settings.
- Click
either Profile or Security depending on which options you want to update.
- Click edit
next to the option(s) you want to change.
- Enter the
new information.
- You may be
asked to enter your existing password, depending on what information you
are updating.
Click Save.
