A Mac user in this Apple support forum found that the print problem was due to a font issue but didn't remember the specific fix.
An Intuit rep on the QB forum recommended this fix:
To print..., you must change... to Airy New. Here's how to change custom form styles (in Acrobat):
- Go to Settings and then select Custom form styles.
- Select New style.
- Click the edit dropdown.
- Choose the Change up the template.
- Choose Airy New.
- Hit Done.
