Will my return go to a non-existent account if I had to get rid of my bank account that the direct deposit was linked to? I opened a new one with the same bank.

My refund is meant to be in a few days and I completely forgot about it when deleting my bank accounts for the new ones yesterday.

If your refund cannot be deposited you will receive a check.
