Will I receive any state tax refund for having a dependant? On my files it says so but no answer.

It shows on my tax copies that I will receive a certain amount for having a dependent but nothing yet.

Having a dependent doesn't mean you automatically get a refund. What does the bottom line of your return say? A balance due or an overpayment? An overpayment is a refund.
