Why won't my transcript go thru?

Im helping my boyfriend file his taxes and it won't let his transcripts go thru.

What do you mean-----what transcript? Are you trying to get a copy of his 2020 transcript from the IRS?

When I go to file and sign for e-file it won't go thru keeps telling me transcript won't go thru idk I've never had this problem with my own taxes.
