Why is my State taxes status "incomplete"?

I got to try to file and its not allowing me to do so.

If you already filed your Federal return, your State return cannot be filed until your Federal return has been accepted.  That may not be until after January 23rd.

It could also be because not all State forms are finalized, once they are, you will be able to complete your State.  See the following for a list States, click on View forms for your State to see when they will be available.
