Your situation is normal.   The IRS does not open for processing of returns until January 28.   The IRS pulls a few returns early for testing purposes, but the vast majority of folks who efiled early will have a return status of "pending" until January 28 or soon after.   Since there will be a backlog, it may be a day or two after January 28 before one receives an email with an accepted/rejected notice.
