I filed February 10. Still pending. This is super frustrating - I need to amend because I thought my 5695 would automatically be included when I got the email notification the form was ready, but it wasn’t. TurboTax won’t let me amend until both federal and state have been accepted.
Those of us who filed early and used tax prep software are penalized by doing so, and people who are using the Colorado Revenue website and filing well into February are getting immediate responses.
I submitted mine 2/8/24; it still says 'pending' and not 'accepted'. What gives? Did it really go through?
Agreed. This is completely unacceptable.
My suggestion (since we get no assistance on this forum or sit on hold for hours at the state) is to post on the Colorado Dept of Revenue X page: @CO_Revenue

I filed my taxes 2 weeks ago and the state of colorado is still showing "Pending" is this an issue? anyone else seeing this? Thanks
I was going to file through the Colorado Revenue portal with the info from TT. Seems like the Colorado Portal will accept it. BUT, I don't want to do this and cause a problem once TT files it. I would rather wait for TT to file and not have a FLAG in the system for 2 filings.
Bottom line, the state of Colorado has caused this problem by not being ready to accept and process returns until February 12th, instead of being ready to open the doors the first part of January. Everyone who has been preparing and submitting their returns through any tax software, like TT, is experiencing the same delay. TT has done their part and now all of us are on the Colorado SLOW boat.
I filed on the 8th. 12 days now and still not accepted. This seems a bit ridiculous.
Yes, it is ridiculous and we have Colorado to thank for this mess.
Any luck yet? Filed on the 6th says pending on the 13th still nothing as of 2/20
I can tell you that I had fraud attempt to collect state unemployment and that was pretty bad this year. I’m guessing this is making the state be extra cautious on returns
Has anyone received their Tabor Refund or any refund yet? Just curious. Thank you.
I also had a friend file for unemployment funds and was told by the state someone committed fraud using his name and previously filed using his identity. Millions of stolen funds both through Covid relief and Unemployment benefits. BIG PROBLEM.
Thank you. This is the only helpful comment on this whole thread. It makes sense that because of the delay there is a huge backlog on COs end. I don't think it is unique to TT and my hope is that if we all just cool our jets and wait a few weeks they'll go through. I was relieved to discover it wasn't just me and your response totally makes sense... plus you actually spoke to a CO tax rep. Appreciate you.

Experts told FOX31 that filers will have to continue to be patient. It could take another three to four weeks from the Feb. 12 start point until filers could see any money in their bank account.
